Orlando Magic coaching rumors include Jerry Sloan and Scott Skiles (Ball Don't Lie)

As now-deposed coach Stan Van Gundy's relationship with Dwight Howard fell apart, reports abounded that the Orlando Magic center had grown tired of SVG's demanding style. That wasn't terribly surprising — hardline coaches can get on players' nerves over time, particularly when there's not a clear progression towards a championship. When the Magic stalled, SVG's time ran out. If the Magic want to keep Howard in Orlando — which seems unlikely based on at least one report — then they might need to bring in a different kind of coach. With that in mind, it's a little surprising that two of the rumored possibilities are even more intense than Van Gundy. The first name, which surfaced Tuesday, is Utah Jazz legend Jerry Sloan. He's been nominally retired since abruptly resigning from the Jazz last season , but apparently he wants to get back to the sidelines . From Chris Tomasson for Fox Sports Florida :

The Jamaican national team reminds me that it has multiple NBA players (Ball Don't Lie)

Last Thursday, I wrote a post discussing reports that Indiana Pacers center Roy Hibbert, who has made multiple appearances in international competition as a member of the Jamaican national basketball team, was seeking his release from that club in the hope of becoming part of Team USA this summer. In it, I wrote that Hibbert was the island nation's "only legitimate NBA player (unless you count Patrick Ewing Jr., maybe, and you shouldn't)." This did not sit particularly well with the Jamaica Basketball Association , according to a statement emailed to me Tuesday by JaBA communications director Keisha Hill: Dear Mr. Devine, We at the Jamaica Basketball Association have read with interest your article on Mr. Roy Hibbert seeking a release from the Association to play for the USA Team. It is a good article however we would like to clarify a statement that was made in reference to our international players. In your article as highlighted below you stated that Patrick Ewing Jnr is the only other legitimate player that is involved with our national programme. [...] This statement actually misses a few key facts, which we hope you will correct.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, ‘Jeopardy!’ is no place for your dirty mind (VIDEO) (Ball Don't Lie)

Of all the foes Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has faced in his illustrious career as a basketball player, actor, author and ambassador, there's one he has yet to vanquish: Alex Trebek. The NBA's all-time leading scorer appeared on an episode of "Celebrity Jeopardy!" back in October 2009 and famously flubbed a clue seeking the name of the former UCLA Bruins and Portland Trail Blazers big man whom pilot Roger Murdock said he dragged up and down the basketball court in a classic line from the 1980 comedy "Airplane!" The answer, of course, is Bill Walton. Despite having played the pilot and delivered the line himself, Kareem offered his own name . People laughed a lot. [Related:  Top 10 worst dressed NBA draft picks ever, featuring Jalen Rose ] Luckily, Kareem's not someone who takes offense at perceived slights or holds grudges , so it didn't become some whole big thing. Still, when he was invited back to "Jeopardy!" to take part in the popular quiz show's "Power Players" Week — a five-night stand in Washington, D.C., featuring 15 celebrity contestants from the field of politics, literature, journalism and entertainment — you'd figure he had a measure of redemption on his mind. The Milwaukee Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers legend would not only defeat CNBC anchor David Faber and Fox News commentator Dana Perino in this competition for charity, but he'd look good doing it. Well, about that ... That answer + that bow tie + Faber coming away with the win = another couple years of stewing for Kareem, I suspect. Oh, well. At least we're all thinking about Kareem Abdul-Jabbar watching pornography now. I'm sure he feels really good about that. Video via retronewfoundland . Bucks forward Jon Brockman loves wearing adult onesies (Ball Don't Lie)

Jon Brockman had kind of a rough third year in the NBA, you guys. The 24-year-old forward appeared in only 35 games for a Milwaukee Bucks team that missed the playoffs, averaging just under seven minutes a contest and taking a definitive step backward in his NBA career. After a season like that, sometimes you just need to push life's pause button, take a step back and give yourself some time to relax. Preferably by slipping into a wearable blanket with sleeves and legs, aka a Snuggie with legs, aka a Forever Lazy/Uni-Lazy/adult onesie, aka, apparently, the Swagga Suit . In case you're wondering what the hell all of this is about — and if you're not, mayhaps you should be — "Swagga Suits" are "unique [...] onepiece jumpsuits" designed specifically for the tastes, measurements and comfort preferences of folks who support the University of Washington, where Brockman starred for four years before becoming a second-round draft pick of the Sacramento Kings in 2009, a group that includes UW students, faculty, alumni, fans and "Community" star Joel McHale . "These suits are comfy and great to wear to UW events and sports games to show your UW spirit and represent your favorite school," according to the Swagga Suits Facebook page , which is an attribution that would have made sense to precisely no one nine years ago. Also, "swag" in this context reportedly stands for "Sweet Washington Athletic Gear," which, duh. In an unrelated story, someone's about to try to make breakfast money during the Olympics by feeding people "Your Official London Oatmeal," or YOLO. In need of some blithe nonsense in the middle of your Thursday? Hit the jump for some pictures of a grown man called "The Brockness Monster" wearing oversized baby clothes and jumping!
